Preserve rich cultural heritage of Kashmir: Mir

 Srinagar, September 24 (Scoop News) –   President Democratic Party of Nationalist (DPN) and Minister for Agriculture, Ghulam Hassan Mir today urged the people of Kashmir to make all out efforts to preserve the rich cultural heritage of the valley for which we are known globally.

DPN president said this while addressing the one-day party Convention of Sangrama Constituency held at Party headquarters this afternoon. He said that cultural ethos is our identity and as a nation it should be dearer to us than anything else. He said some people want to obliterate our centuries old heritage adding that  as nation we have to take every step to propagate it and  action should be taken against those who are on it.  

 Mr Mir  said that even  if my perception  or my political ideology  is different  yet my heart beats for Kashmiries  adding that I am Whole heartedly working for the betterment of my people be it at state or national level.  He said my eyes cannot see the destruction or helplessness of Kashmiries.

 Referring the empowerment of people of Kashmir, DPN president said that the mission of our party is to strengthen the economy of the people and asked the Kashmiries to take the path breaking decision for having economic independence.  He said that there is a need for structural change in mind set of people to harness the potential of qualified and skilled human resource of the state for peace and development. He said besides having huge potential of natural resources, we are still behind to channelize this resource having abundant human resource available in the market.

DPN President said that the energy of our youth has been exploited by emotive slogans during last 63 years and due to which backwardness has become our destiny. He said in this direction that DPN is working very hard to aware the masses about their potential and provide them a platform to utilise it judiciously.  He asked the workers to propagate the policies and programmes of the party among the common people for a new binging.

To channelize the resources of the state, DPN president said that it is the present coalition government who give the major thrust for the generation of hydro electricity in the state. He said in this direction various macro and micro projects have been taken in hand and even some micro projects were taken under PPP mode to harness the hydro electric potential of the J&K.
