The British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (BVCA) names Preservica “Venture or Growth Company Team of the Year 2016” for the Midlands Region
Digital Preservation specialist, Preservica was last night announced as the winner of the “Venture or Growth Company Team of the Year 2016” category at the BVCA Midlands awards dinner. The company will now go on to compete against other UK regional winners in the national awards to be held at the BVCA Gala Dinner on 8 December in London.
Oxford, UK and Boston, MA based Preservica were chosen in recognition of the company’s excellence among UK business backed by private equity and venture capital after being nominated by Mobeus Equity Partners.
The BVCA Management Team Awards, in association with Grant Thornton UK LLP, are now in their eighth year, and aim to provide a platform for management teams to demonstrate their contribution to the UK economy.
The award follows a year of considerable growth for Preservica, with the company signing a significant number of new high profile clients, both in UK and International, as well as becoming an independent software business in late 2015.
The BVCA judges were impressed with the Preservica team’s entrepreneurial flair “They have grown a market-leading digital preservation business, with 85 customers in 12 countries, including 12 national archives and an impressive range of major public and private institutions. The team have also fostered a culture of innovation, as well as given back to communities in a range of ways.”
