ISLAMABAD: President Pervez Musharraf and Caretaker Prime Minister Muhammadmian Soomro in their separate messages on the birth anniversary of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah called the nation for following the ideals of the founding father for the attainment of his vision of a dynamic Pakistan.
In his message, President Musharraf said the day reminded us to work in the right direction resolutely and untiringly. "We also need to work collectively for bringing about a qualitative change for the betterment of the people of Pakistan and for the greater glory of Pakistan," he said.
The president said it was a matter of great satisfaction and reassurance that during the last eight years, "we have been able to initiate measures that will go a long way in establishing a prosperous and dynamic Pakistan, as envisioned by the Quaid-i-Azam."
The president said by the grace of Almighty Allah, "our country is on course for the attainment of our Quaid’s vision wherein sustained efforts have been put in place to bring meaningful improvement in the economic, educational, social, political and cultural aspects in the country."
In his message, Caretaker Prime Minister Muhammadmian Soomro stressed for following the Quaid’s message of unity, faith and discipline, and said it could help establish and create a conducive political atmosphere in the country.
The caretaker prime minister recalled various aspects of the noble character of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and said: "That still serve as a beacon of light to enlighten our path to make Pakistan a strong, prosperous and respectable member of the comity of nations."
