More often than not, as man ages his lifestyle changes so much so that his manner and the way he conduct his life becomes meek, generous and noble-spirited. His gradual entry into the “Jurassic age” allows him to discard all his past blunders or sins and ultimately honesty and truthfulness become part of him.
Perhaps we can assume that this process of life is interminable and part of the system of life where man changes for the better. But nay, not all human beings take the road of change where atonement and the mending process can be found. Soul-searching is not part of their mantra.
As the world changes, the ideals and principles of man changes, not for the salvation of his soul but for the destruction of it. We’ve seen man defies logic and truth and many of them is all over us. Although they are now past the age of physical strength, they’re still having their minds and ora that could unleash power to inflict harm and death to anyone.
Thus, people of this kind can be found in government where dark souls reside. And the Philippine government has them, who are in full control of the country that rules through lies and deceptions. The Jurassic members of the administration were in full force in telling lies to the nation.
Instead of answering the state witness’ bombshell in the ongoing Senate investigation on the ZTE-NBN Broadband controversy, the people in government read prepared statements that contain lies and deceptions. The government officials who attended the hearing yesterday are all geriatrics except one who is young but equally a super-liar.
The people expected those oldies to be honest, true, without qualms but all of them spoke the same stinking words, and they prevaricated on national TV with ease. What a shame.
