Northamptonshire and its surrounding territories have had contamination in their water and may be opened to stomach bugs. Here are some tips that may help:
1. Boil water or preferably buy mineral water such as Volvic and Evian.
2. Boil poultry, fish, chicken before eating
3. Boil meat before eating
4. Add garlic to meals to lower blood pressure especially if you have vomited as some point. Vomiting, bulimia irritates the organs and may increase the BP.
5. Take Cod liver oil and garlic capsules daily
6. Where necessary, take Iron tablets as recommended
7. Add Dettol or mineralizing salts in bathing water
8. Check BP monitor every other day. BP monitor is sold at good chemists and some stores
9. Use Spa Covent body lotion or similar to hydrate and cleanse the skin
10. Change bath towels regularly because of remnants of bacteria that could stick around
11. Change beddings every other day because of sweat stain
12. Exercise daily or every other day to prevent infection
13. Eat more of vegetables and salads that have ‘washed and ready to eat’ on the labels to reduce the use of washing with the contaminated water. Or wash salads, fruits and vegetables with mineral water.
