Prime Minister Mohammadmian Soomro has praised the services

FAISALABAD: Prime Minister Mohammadmian Soomro has praised the services of businessmen and industrialists to the national economy and said the caretaker government would take necessary measures to solve their problems on top priority basis.
He was addressing the First Export Merit Trophy Award ceremony of the Pakistan Textile Exporters Association (PTEA) here on Wednesday. He said that Pakistan had nothing at the time of its inception but its businessmen worked hard and raised its economy to the level of fastest growing economies of South Asia.
The prime minister said that textile was the mainstay of national economy and it was facing new challenges and problems. He assured that all the problems would be solved in consultation and to the advantage of its stakeholders. He attributed the high cost of doing business to soaring oil prices.He said the Ministry of Textile industry has been entrusted to a veteran industrialist and assured that the caretaker government would make its best efforts to revive its vibrancy. Shehzada Aalam Mannoo, Federal Minister for Textile Industry, said that it is his first function in which business tycoons are being honoured. Mian Zahid Aslam, PTEA chairman, said the share of PTEA members in textile exports was 60 per cent. He demanded an Expo Centre in Faisalabad.
