“Muhtarima Benazir Bhutto is definitely our prime target, she has came to Pakistan to follow US agenda, people of Pakistan are awake now, we will not let her do what she is assigned to do in Pakistan by her American masters,” a retired Subidar of Pakistan Army has said.
“ Muhtarima Benazir Bhutto has agreed to accept security measures taken by Pakistan government for her protection,” sources have said. A representative of tribal militant Baitullah Mehsood is reported to have said in local media that attempt on her life was not carried out by his group, and he is not involved in such a cowardly act like attacking a woman.
“A girls school building in Meran Shah North Waziristan is blown up by explosives, the terrorist responsible for this action have managed to escape,” sources have said.
“ Karachi is still in grip of violence, protesters are pelting stones and burning tires on streets, all educational institutions are closed, in Lyari and Kharadar areas of Karachi in a firing incident fourteen persons are injured,” sources have said.
“Sind government have paid rupees ten thousand to the relatives of 24 victims of Karachi bomb blasts, so their dead bodies can be carried to respective districts in Pakistan for burial,” government sources have said.
“Prime Minister of Pakistan Mr. Shaukat Aziz held a meeting with top police officials and have directed them to ensure peace during election year in the country,” government sources have said.
"After Karachi bomb explosions, strict security measures are taken in NWFP to avoid any untoward incident, in Kohat district Pak Army men, men of Frontier Constabulary and police men are quite visible on each square of the city,” eyewitnesses have said.
