Jammu, October 23 (Scoop News) –Prominent journalist and A former news editor of United News of India (UNI) ,J N Raina expired late last evening at his residence Pune. He was 70.
J N Raina was a renowned journalist of Jammu & Kashmir, retired as UNI News editor at Mumbai.
He is survived by his wife and three sons.
Mr Raina a journalist commited to his profession had a humble bigning from a remote village Muran in Pulwama district.
He had his Masters in English literature and degree course in Journalism in Punjab University, Chandigarh. He served in Ahamdabad, Mumbai and in Srinagar where he was bureau chief for over two decades.
Mr Raina was a perfact gentleman and had endeared himself one at all with his simplsity and humility.
Mr Raina was a regular contributer to Scoop News (J&K).

Expressing grief over the death of J N Raina, International reputed Journalist Yusf Jameel in a massage said that "Mr Raina was a true professional and a perfect gentleman".
Former Commissioner to J&K Govt ,K B Jandial has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the demise of J N Raina. In a condolence massage, Jandial today said "Raina sahib was gem of a journalists of the J&K state.We will not have professional like him", Jandial said.
