Protest demonstration against China government for treating J&K as disputed territory

Jammu,October 3 (Vijay Kumar)- The activists of Bartiya Janta Party (BJP) and youth wing of BJP (BJYM) on Saturday in Jammu demonstrated against Chinese government for treating Jammu and Kashmir state as disputed territory and granting visa on separate sheets instead of stamping on the Indian passport.

They also burnt the effigy of China and raised slogans like Bharat sarkar hosh mein aao, China sarkar hai hai and stop interfering in our matters.

Rajesh Gupta,District President of BJP, on this occasion, criticised the Government of China and its Embassy in New Delhi for adopting different yardsticks for grant of visa to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He said Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India and every one living in this state is an Indian Citizen. The people of Jammu and Kashmir too use the same passport as is issued to other Indians. This document is accepted by all the countries. He said the decision of the Chinese government to issue visa to the people of J&K on a seperate sheet and not on Republic of India passport is a direct attack on the sovereignty of India and it is the Congress-led UPA government at the centre which is responsible for it. Had the Government of India taken the last month’s intrusion by Chinese army men into Ladakh seriously, this new development would have not taken place. Indian government’s soft approach towards China has encouraged this neighbouring country to take anti-India decisions, he alleged.

Rajesh Gupta said that China was never sincere in friendship with India and reminded that it was the same China which gave slogan of –Hindi Chini bhai bhai in 1962 and back stabbed by imposing war on us. He appealed the people of the country not to buy and use the items like mobile sets, toys and other electronic gadgets imported from China. Why should we promote the economy of a country which is posing threat to the unity and integrity of our motherland, questioned Rajesh Gupta ? He also asked the Union government to wake up and deal with China with firm hand before the things get more worsened. He also demanded breaking up of business ties with China till it mends its ways and assures of honest relationship as a good neighbour.
