Public Library Popular with youth; Stevenson Branch

Walk into the Robert Louis Stevenson branch of the Los Angeles, Public Library and you will find the place full of patrons busy at their work.  A bank of computer monitors is filled to capacity and a computer must be reserved in advance.  The staff is always available and friendly.

The place is neat and tidy and the materials are easy to locate.  And the librarian is always eager to help locate any item as requested by a library patron.

Books in various languages are available as are movies on DVD, and VHS format.  There are also a wide selection of current periodicals, and magazines for perusing.  Patrons may sit in comfortable chairs to read and enjoy them, too.

And located just beside the entrance door is a box that is often filled with books that are free for the taking.  These might be old and withdrawn items.

Robert Louis Stevenson library is a great place to visit and spend a quiet time to do research, read a book, or just select a popular movie.  Of course if you want to do your research using a computer you will need to reserve one ahead of time.  Although two terminals are available on a first come basis and you may use them for 15 minute periods twice daily.
