Punjab PML President and former chief minister Ch Pervez Elahi has asked the voters of PML-N not to waste their votes because its benefit will go to Peoples Party as Nawaz Sharif has joined the PPP. While addressing PML ticket holders from different districts here Thursday at his residence, he said that Muslim League’s voters should not come in the trap of those who had joined hands with PPP. He said all those people who were supporting PPP would never be the friend of democracy adding that PPP leader Benazir Bhutto is in a habit of putting new conditions everyday after seeing her inevitable defeat in the upcoming general elections. He said on one hand she was talking about strengthening of democratic institutions while on the other she was supporting those leaders who are ready to boycott the general elections. He said by such statements the intentions of Benazir are clear that she did not want democratic process to flourish in the country. He said all those people who were talking about boycott have no following in the people and the masses would reject all such elements. He said the New Year is a year of success for the PML as after getting peoples’ mandate the PML government would again start the journey to progress. Ch Pervaiz said after getting into power the PML government would continue its efforts to bring economic revolution in the country aimed at ameliorating the poor. He said PML is the only political party which always takes care of rights of workers and the masses.
