Queen of Hills

Called as Queen of Hills in India, Mussourie is 7000 fts (2000mts) above sea level. It is situated 40 Kms from Dehradun the capital of Uttarakhand. Offers snow caped mountain ranges in the north-east and Doon valley in south. One experiences a feeling of being in Fairyland in Mussourie. It was founded by Captain Young of the British Army in 1827.

Indian Airlines and other few Airlines offer a convenient flight to Jolly Grant Airport 25 Kms from Dehradun. Only 300 Kms from Delhi and well connected with important towns of India. A budget traveler would prefer Bus services Ac and non-Ac both are easily available from Delhi’s Inter-state Bus Terminal (ISBT), Ticket ranges from 400-1000 Rupees depending upon the type of services availed.

Mussourie can be visited anytime of the year except monsoon (July-Sep). Places to see are Kempty fall, Apu Ghar, Cable car ride, skating hall, Mall Road, sir george everest house, mosey fall, mussorie lake, lal tibba (highest peak of Mussourie).
