Kohat Police force is getting commando training to meet the challenges posed by terrorists and criminals effectively. According to press release issued by PRO Kohat police, five weeks commando training course schedule is prepared, initially 50 police officials of Kohat, Hangu and Karak districts are selected for the training and they have arrived at Nine Division Headquarter of Pakistan Army to get training from special group of commando instructors. Two training schools are established for provision of commando training to police force in which 450 police officials of Karak, Hangu and Kohat will get commando training and will act as quick response force in all the three districts to meet challenges posed by terrorists.
Kohat Sadar Circle police staff during on going search operation has arrested two proclaimed offenders, five drug dealers and two flour smugglers on Tuesday, large cache of arms, narcotics and flour is recovered from their custody. Collectively three Klashinkoves, 2 Kalakoves, 3 rifles, four guns, 16 pistols, 500 cartridges, 880 fire crackers, 12kg Cannabis, 10gram heroine, and 10 bottles of alcohols are recovered, cases against the arrested persons are registered.
‘In Peer Munam Shah market located in Old Bus Stand of Kohat popularly known as purana lari ada, Taliban militants are running three shops and using these shops as their headquarter in Kohat,’ a source has said on condition of anonymity.
