Jammu, December 11 (Vijay Kumar) – BJP National Executive Member Dr. Nirmal Singh said that the Congress-led UPA is thinking in terms of granting some concessions to the valley separatists under “Quiet Diplomacy’ in the name of peace process to resolve Kashmir problem.
Dr. Nirmal Singh today chaired a meeting at party headquarters in Jammu to take stock of the preparations made for the success of scheduled December 13 programme to be addressed by Member of Parliament & Dy. leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Sardar S.S. Ahluwalia.
Nirmal while speaking on the occasion regretted that the UPA has not deemed it necessary to take the nationalist political parties, the people of Jammu and Ladakh, refugees from West Pakistan, PoK, that of 1947, 1965 and 1971, internally displaced people from Kashmir and people from militancy-infested areas into confidence, which has sent wrong signals across the country. There is every possibility that the UPA can compromise on India’s sovereignty over Jammu and Kashmir. Such an approach may endanger the very survival of patriotic people in Jammu and Kashmir, he added.
Dr. Singh said that the Jammu and Kashmir BJP has, therefore, decided to organize series of district level “Public Awareness Programmes” throughout the state in the coming days to mobilize public opinion against this anti-national move of the UPA and in this series, first such programme is going to be organized on December 13, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at Meridian Palace( Near Shakuntla Theatre), B.C.Road, Jammu. Besides other BJP leaders, a galaxy of intellectuals and other social and political leaders are expected to attend the deliberations and chalkout future strategy, said Dr. Singh.
