Leaders in the federal government, industry and academic communities unite to defeat cybersecurity threats
SAN JOSE, Calif – October 7, 2015 – QuintessenceLabs, the leader in quantum security technology, today announced it is a winner of the annual SINET 16 Innovator competition, one of 16 emerging security companies chosen to present at the upcoming Security Innovation Network™ (SINET) Showcase in Washington, DC, November 3-4, 2015.
SINET is an organization focused on advancing cybersecurity innovation through public-private collaboration. The organization reported this year’s applicant pool of early-stage and emerging growth companies was the most competitive since the Showcase began its initiative six years ago. QuintessenceLabs was selected from a pool of applicants from around the world, representing a range of solution providers offering cutting-edge technologies to address cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities.
The company will showcase its advanced quantum cyber-security products at the Washington DC event, including centralized and interoperable key management, high speed true random number generator, one-time pad encryption with automatic key destruction for storage devices, and quantum key distribution.
Following on from this event, QuintessenceLabs will be attending IA15, the UK Government’s cyber-security and information assurance flagship conference, sharing information on its capabilities for UK cyber-security customers.
“Organizations are routinely subject to an increasing number of cyber-attacks, and traditional approaches are no longer sufficient to securely protect valuable information,” said QuintessenceLabs founder and CEO, Vikram Sharma. “We are delighted to be selected as a SINET 16 Innovator. This recognition highlights the importance of quantum cybersecurity in addressing some of today’s critical data security issues, and shielding against tomorrow’s increasingly sophisticated threats.”
“The dynamics and warp speed at which Cyber threats are accelerating mandates greater access to innovative solutions in order to keep pace and or take the geometric advantage over the adversaries,” says Robert Rodriguez, Chairman and Founder, SINET. “As a nation we cannot afford to leave any stone unturned when it comes to uncovering innovative solution providers and part of our mission at SINET is to do just this.”
The SINET Showcase is supported by the Department of Homeland Security, Science & Technology Directorate, and features commentary on the latest investment and cybersecurity trends from the industry’s foremost experts. The program includes educational workshops, panel sessions, an interactive luncheon hour and a networking reception.
