Radicalized extremists Islamic clerics have been using social media like Facebook and twitter to try and increase support for “jihad” in Syria, which is “considered the most socially-mediated conflict in history,” a report by King’s College London states.
Now a report by the International Centre for the Study of Radicalization and Political Violence (ICSR) found by sifting through and analyzing thousands of tweets and Facebook posts from 190 profiles, that two clerics in particular had proved to be particularly influential. In the case of Ahmad Musa Jibril – he is an active support of Jihad.
1) Ahmad Musa Jibril, who is from America and is followed on Twitter by 60 percent of foreign fighters in Syria, and 2) Australian Musa Cerantonio, who converted to Islam from Catholicism, have managed to gain large followings after speaking about the conflict in Syria.
The report notes: “There is no evidence to suggest that either of them are physically involved in facilitating the flow of foreign fighters to Syria, but the data shows they have become important sources of religious and political support and motivation,” the report states.
Twitter and Facebook have also been influential as it has allowed supporters to interact with the preachers.
Ahmad Musa Jibril, for example has 145,000 ‘likes’ on his Facebook fan page and spends considerable time interacting with his followers.

As exampled by these men – Twitter and Facebook has emerged as factor to be taken into consideration in the war in Syria. Since both expound violence against the people of Syria fighting desperately to fight the influence of radical jihadists – they should be considered terrorists supporters.
Unfortunately they are not currently.
We contacted the FBI for a response in this matter of Ahmad Musa Jibril being a terrorist supporter and facilitator of violence and received no reply in response to why he hasn’t been immediately arrested?
We also contacted the Australian government via their embassy in Washington D.C. as to why exactly this individual has not been arrested and doesn’t appear on any terrorism watch lists? To date we have not received a reply to our query.
It should also be noted that both men are active on Youtube as well.
