After the turn of Dasavataram Audio having been sold at a record price to Sony which in any case did not receive ‘foot-tapping reviews’, it is now the turn of Kuselan.
According to reports ‘Big Music’ a unit of Anil Ambani’s group has bagged the rights for this Audio by really paying a big price of Rs.2.25 Crores. This is considered astonishing in the industry circles in view of the fact that Rajnikanth is playing only a guest role in the movie; but the name itself keeps people spell bound.
Of course the music is composed by G.V. Prakash, a renowned Music Director though he does not fall into the categories of A.R.Rehman or Harris Jayaraj;but, has a potential to do so. In addition, a number by Daler Mahendi could have weighed the Company into biting this deal.
The Album according to the Company consists of five songs rendered by other playback singers Shankar Mahadevan, Harihran, Shreya Ghosal etc. The Audio is expected to be released on 30th June 008;let us wait until then to listen to the music.
