Ralph Nader plans to appear this coming Sunday on the morning show on NBC called “Meet the Press.” It is possible that Nader will announce his run for president this coming Sunday. Nader had done the same thing on the same show where he had announced and launched his run in 2004.
Kevin Zeese, Nader’s former spokesman said that Nader has been active in talking to many people. It does strengthen the possibility that Nader could be entertaining the idea of a third presidential run.
Zeese said: “Obviously, I don’t think (“Meet the Press” host) Tim Russert would have him on for no reason.”
Recently, Ralph Nader did launch an exploratory committee web site. He also said that if he shows that he can raise $10 million, he would consider making a run for the US presidency.
Nader’s platform is fighting “corporate influence.”
Ralph Nader is despised by many in the Democratic Party. In a sense, it goes by good reason. Many have said at this moment, that a third party candidate does nothing but take votes away from Democrats. For that reason, many Democrats have called Ralph Nader a spoiler.
Many blame Nader for Al Gore’s loss to US President George W. Bush back in 2000 during the Florida contest.
Currently, the Democratic Party has not replied on how it would deal with the possibility of Ralph Nader’s third run.
