Rane Polytechnic Technical Campus (RPTC) embarks upon new avenues for pursuing its agenda of skill building
Approved by Canada India Institutional Cooperation Project (CIICP) by the State Project Coordination Unit (SPCU)
Chennai : Rane Polytechnic Technical Campus (RPTC) – a self financed institution managed by Rane Foundation has been approved as one of the polytechnic colleges for the implementation of Canada India Institutional Cooperation Project (CIICP) by the State Project Coordination Unit (SPCU) established under Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE). Dr. K Visalakshi, State Coordinator, SPCU, DOTE, Tamil Nadu launched the Strategic Plan Document in the presence of Mr. L Lakshman, Managing Trustee, Rane Foundation and Executive Chairman, Rane Holdings Ltd at the recently held function.
Commenting on the development, Mr. L Lakshman, Managing Trustee, Rane Foundation and Executive Chairman, Rane Holdings Ltd said, “The philosophy behind establishing RPTC at Trichy delineating the need for high skilled workforce that will make India a nation of manufacturing excellence”. Adding on he said “Under the CIICP umbrella, RPTC aims at offering a wide range of formal and non-formal programs that meet the specific skill needs of the industry and community. RPTC will focus on designing programs that will help people gain knowledge, skills and improve attitude.” Emphasizing that skill development is going to be the defining element in India’s growth story, he urged the community to capitalize on this platform and take full advantage of it.
Appreciating the hard and soft infrastructure of RPTC, Dr. K Visalakshi, State Coordinator, SPCU, DOTE, Tamil Nadu, shared the evolution of CIICP and its objectives. “The fundamental philosophy behind establishing CIICP is to create industry-ready human resource that will also elevate the earning capacity of the underprivileged in the country”.
Rane Polytechnic Technical Campus (RPTC) commenced academic courses in the year 2011-2012. Set up and managed by Rane Foundation – a Public Charitable Trust and the main arm of the Rane Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives. The institution is set up in a 7-acre campus near Tiruchy in Tamil Nadu.
