Srinagar,(Scoop News) – Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon, today convened a high level meeting to fix the rates of essential supplies especially Mutton, Chicken, and Milk. The Meeting was attended by Director CAPD, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Director Animal Husbandry, Commissioner SMC, Director Health Services, Kashmir, Deputy Controller Legal Metrology, Presidents of Kothdar Association, Anjuman-e-Sheer Faroshan Association, Chicken dealers Association and Poultry farmers association besides members of civil society represented by President of Kashmir Chamber of Commerce, Kashmir Traders Federation, Members from media including Editors Association Kashmir.
After threadbare discussions and deliberations the retail rate of dressed mutton, without offal was fixed at Rs. 280 per kg. The retail rate of broiler chicken was fixed at Rs. 90 per kg. Retail price of loose milk was fixed at Rs 25 per litre and pouch milk (toned) at Rs 30 per litre. These rates have been ordered to come into force with immediate effect and will be applicable till further orders.
Div Com directed DC Srinagar and CAPD to ensure strict compliance of rates and in case of any violation stringent action be taken.
