Make Up to
Homeless Women!
His name is Aswad. (That’s his whole name; like Prince) A Navy Veteran who had been living in a Transitional Homeless Shelter for a year.
In training to become a licensed Esthetician, Aswad began giving skin care advice to residents and staff alike at PATH West LA, where he lived.
After connecting with the local VA, he obtained funding to attend Marinello’s School of Beauty – Spa Academy. He then attended the Make Up Show LA where inspiration abounded. “I was not going to be that guy living under a bridge!” was his Mantra.
It was at Marinello’s where Aswad discovered the Dinair Air Brush Make Up System. As a Vet with PTSD he found traditional Make Up too confusing with all the different brushes and pots. The Dinair System fit him perfectly; one guy-one brush.
Now having graduated from both the Shelter and the School, and having obtained his license, Aswad now brings his talents to Homeless Women in Shelters around Los Angeles.

Guy stays pretty busy for an unemployed Disabled Vet!
“The women at the ‘back end’ of Wilshire Blvd. want pampering just like the ones at the ‘front end’!” Dinair even donated Make Up for Aswad to use.
His future plans also include a Skin Care line; Zennetic by Aswad. A 98% botanical skin care line for every skin type. Hypo allergenic, non-Comodogenic, and non-Animal Tested, the first “Book” as Aswad calls it, will include a Hand Lotion, a Body Lotion, and an Arctic Mineral Mud Mask. 5% of profits will be donated back to the Homeless Shelter where he stayed. When asked, “But don’t you want paying clients?” Aswad responded, “Heck yeah! The Governments shut down, I’M NOT!”
