Poetry From The Heart – Love Equals A Spark In Life
Title: I Wish I May, I Wish I Might
A red rose in her hand, petals plucked to fall,
“I wish I may, I wish I might,” uttering from her mouth.
Lips visible with plumpness to display desires and passions,
causing his heart to throb to the beat of her mutterings.
Thirsting for a taste of intimacies, a satisfaction of the soul,
waiting for tomorrows and wishes for a victorious winning.
They’ll jaunt through the forest…
lie on leafy earth for a picnic
to test their personalities and traits,
block out any obstructions.
They’ll watch nightfall surround their bodies;
capture spirits and moods of their senses.
She’ll whisper, “I wish I may, I wish I might.”
The stars glitter like crystals in space above them,
forest sounds drown out differences and secrets.
A passionate explosion erupts in the distance,
unconcerned about commotions or causes
as they embrace closer to find aching lips,
both whispering, “I wish I may, I wish I might.”
Dried petals laying among verdant earth
as dew settles on bloom’s, washed away intimacies
of a night and a morning of, “I wish I may, I wish I might”
as rays expose the beauty of a conquered love
lying in each others arms under swaying trees,
two lovers whisper, “I wish I may, I wish I might.”
