Reliance Communications launches Mobile services in Jammu & Kashmir

 

 

Jammu, February 6,  – After the BSNL,Airtel,Aircel and Tata, Reliance Communications, India ’s largest  telecom service provider to offer nationwide GSM and CDMA services, today announced the launch of Reliance Mobile GSM Services in four districts of Jammu,Kathua,Katra and Udhampur. Out of a population of one crore over  25 lakh people have mobile phone sets in the state.

 

While announcing the launch of Reliance mobile services in Jammu, Arvind Kumar, Regional Hub Head – J&K, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh Circles, Reliance Communications said,  “The launch of Reliance Mobile’s GSM services in J&K marks the completion of the company’s nationwide footprint, which already covers over 1 Billion Indians in all other Indian states”.

 

 “The subscribers in J&K can now experience best in class telephony services at the most friendly  price points – including local calling & SMS, STD, ISD, Roaming and Value Added Services, which are being used by millions of Indians across the length and breadth of the country”, he added.

 

The company also launched a first-of-its-kind Customer Experience Programme (CEP) for customers choosing Reliance Mobile GSM Services, a unique plan which offers GSM SIM just for Rs 49  and 100% savings to sub Rs 150 Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) mobile customers in the state of J&K at a one-time subscription charge of Rs. 51 only.

 

Adressing a press conference in Jammu Arvind Kumar, Regional Hub Head said,“The Reliance Mobile offers a unique value proposition fine-tuned as per the needs of every segment of GSM market in the country”. “The Customer Experience Programme, our first offering, is in line with Reliance Communications’ Philosophy of making world-class mobility services accessible and affordable to the masses”, he added.

 

Dr Rupesh K Singh,Head,Corporate Communications,Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group and B.L Kaul, Head,J&K were also present in the press conference.

 

 The plan offers Rs. 450 minutes of talk time for making calls and SMSes to any network in J&K that can be accrued by Reliance Mobile GSM customers in daily tranches of Rs. 5 spread over 90 days*. In addition, customers choosing the CEP can make unlimited calls between 11pm to 6 am to any Reliance Phones in J&K by taking night Pack for Rs 15. Customers can also use a variety of Top-Up cards to make calls and SMSes over and above the free talk time. Customers will get double talktime on every recharge as a limited period promotional offer.

 

“In a very short span, Reliance Mobile has created a GSM network whose coverage and capabilities are superior to GSM networks that have been in existence for 15 years”, said Mr. Kumar.  “Now GSM customers in J&K can  avail of state-of-the-art, next generation, EDGE ready Reliance Mobile GSM Network – which offers Digital Voice clarity and up to 50% cost savings, Arvind Kumar added. 

 

The sub-Rs. 150 ARPU segment comprises of the largest and fastest growing population of mobile customers in the country. In the coming weeks, Reliance Mobile GSM aims at launching a number of pre-paid and post-paid plans offering maximum value suited for various other customer segments of the GSM market.

 

In what is undisputedly the fastest rollout of a mobile network in the world, Reliance Communications has set up towers in J&K to provide high quality & Congestion-free GSM services.
