Special packages demanded for flood affected area of Mulkoh.
CHITRAL: A high level meeting of Youth Organization for protection rights of Mulkoh (Tanzeemi Nojawanan Tahafuzi Haqooqi Mulko) held here in Tehsil Headquarters of Mulkoh under the chair of Zaheeruddin president of the organization. All participants of the organization thanked to USAID and AKARP for providing them free seed of wheat and vegetable for flood affected vulnerable farmers of this union council. Preident Manager Zaheeruddin said that Mulioh is situated in the outskirt of most highest mountain range Terichmir. This is a faraway and backward Tehsil of the district where there is no facility of modern era and civics rights. The area also facing lack of job opportunities and livelihood means and sources and that is why people of this area are very poor and backward. Tremendous flood, continue rain has devastated standing crops and damaged cultivable land of people of this area. As well as vegetables, Orchard, firewood, forests, wheat crops etc were totally ruined by the flood and rain as a result inhabitants of the area plunged into whirlpool and faced numerous problems. Poor people of this area are facing great problems due to non availability of these essential good.
Now the winter season has been inter which caused for increasing in miseries and difficulties of these flood affected people. These affected people facing acute shortage of edible things, warm cloths, Gas cylinders for cooking and heating purposes. The organization during the meeting appeal to government and non governmental organizations, and international donors for consenting of special package for Mulkoh area so as to save these people from starvation and chilly cold weather. They also appeal for providing these essential required things to the area on subsidized rates for these vulnerable poor people.
