Roman Catholic Ignorance
The other day I was questioned by a Roman Catholic associate of mine, wanting to know who, and what, gave me the right and the authority to refer to myself as an “Apostle”.
I informed them that Jesus gave me the authority, and they laughed in my face, telling me that I was not even alive at the time of Jesus and that Jesus only had twelve Apostles.
I explained to him that the Dictionary definition of the word “Apostle” means one who is sent out.
I then pulled out my Holy Bible and let him read: MATT: 28: 19-20; MARK: 16: 15-16; LUKE: 24: 46-47; After he had read these scriptures I told him, this is Jesus Holy Commission to any and all who would be a Christian and follow Jesus. I further explained that this is a Commandment of Jesus, the Son of Almighty God.
My friend had no idea that this was a “Commandment of Jesus” he treated it as sort of a suggestion that we might ignore if we chose to. He didn’t even know that over and above the (Ten Commandments) and the laws given the Hebrews in the Book of Leviticus, that Jesus himself gave us many new commandments, and that Jesus even changed some of the old commandments.
One of those changes deals with the Holy Sabbath and keeping it Holy. Jesus explains that it would not be unlawful or breaking Sabbath Law, to do a compassionate act, like rescuing a child from a well, after Jesus is accused of breaking Sabbath, because he healed someone.
I have found it amazing when speaking with Catholics, to learn that they almost never pick up their Holy Bible just to read it, and that their only contact with Holy Scripture is the three Mass readings on Sundays. Furthermore few even know the various “Books” of the Holy Bible, let alone where to find different scriptures for guidance, or instruction, or any other purpose.
The Holy Bible is packed full with a wealth of knowledge for all purposes, but if you don’t read it, and don’t know how to find what you need, it just becomes a dust collector rather than the perfect guide for whatever the purpose might be.
Are you one of those who are ignorant of the word of God in the Holy Bible? Or, do you rely upon it constantly if not daily.
I as an Apostle and an Evangelist refer to my Holy Bible for everything. I couldn’t fulfill Father God’s Will for me without it.
