Renowned scholars,Ulemas attend Sheikh-ul-Alam(RA) Conference in Kashmir

Srinagar, December 12 – (Scoop News) – An impressive and thought provoking one day Sheikh-ul-Alam(RA) Conference, organised by Alama Maulana Ghulam Rasool Hami, renowned  Islamic Scholar of the valley, views on humanity and education” was held here at IMPA today. A galaxy of Ulemas, intellectuals, Islamic scholars and writers attended the seminar and shed light on the topic.

            The former vice chancellor of Kashmir University and vice chairman, Muslim Waqf Board, Prof. M.Y. Qadiri was the chief guest on the occasion. The chairman Carvan-e-Islami, Maulana Ghulam Rasool Hami, Prof. Bashar Bashir, Director Information, Khawaja Farooq Renzushah, Additional Advocate General,  Magray, Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar,  M.A. Kakroo, Director Tourism,  Farooq Shah, Maulana Mushtaq Ahmad Khan,Director SKIMS, Dr. A.H. Zargar, Maulana Abdul Rashid Dawoodi and Mahraj Ahmad Buja, Chairman Aquaf Gousia Saribala shared the prestigious dice.

            Welcoming the guests and the people, the chairman, Carvan-e-Islami, Alama Maulana Ghulam Rasool Hami detailed out the resume of the Sheikh-ul-Alam(RA) Research University and said that he has met various Ulemas, Scholars and educationists including Peer Allaudin in Birmingham and Maulana Tahir-ul-Qadiri both in and outside the country for discussing various features of this prestigious Sheikh-ul-Alam(RA) Research University. He said he received tremendous positive response from these learned Ulemas and assured there full cooperation in setting up of this prestigious University.

            Maulana Hami appealed to all to extend their full cooperation in this connection adding that Sheikh-ul-Alam(RA) University Advisory Board has decided to provide reservations to the poor students of all the three regions of the state. He said Carvan-e-Islami has a proposal to establish a model school where besides religious education; CBSE pattern syllabus will be introduced for all sections of people. He said that the organisation contemplates to promote mutual brotherhood and thoughts of all the sufi saints on the lines of Sheikh-ul-Alam(RA) . He said the proposed University will be opened for all communities irrespective of caste creed and colour adding that research will be conducted on all the Auliya Kirams(RA) whose spiritual contribution is unparallel.

            Prof. Bashir Bashar, in his speech, said that Sheikh-ul-Alam(RA)has 700 years before given message on environmental and ecological balance, justice, social life, religion, brotherhood and amity.

            Director Information, Khawaja Farooq Renzushah urged the need for promoting the teachings of Sufi Saints who have always preached mutual brotherhood and a system based on social justice. Complementing the Carvan-e-Islami, Jammu and Kashmir for taking initiative for setting up of Sheikh-ul-Alam(RA) Research University in the valley he hoped that this university will go a long way in spreading the message of Sheikh-ul-Alam(RA)  not only in India but abroad also.  Renzushah said that we all have to work in a coordinated manner which only is the key for the successful future of this prestigious University. He said Kashmir has always remained the seat of learning and was visited by many scholars for taking advanced education besides spiritual teachings.

            Moulvi Mushtaq Khan of south Kashmir complemented the Carvan-e-Islami and assured their full support for the Sheikh-ul-Alam Research Universty.

            Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar,  M.A. Kakroo in his speech said that this prestigious University should be thrown open for all the subjects besides religious education.

             Khurshid Ahmad Kanangoo, a religious scholar shed light on the life and teachings of Sheikh-ul-Alam(RA).

            The Director Tourism,  Farooq Shah in his speech stressed for making Sheikh-ul-Alam(RA) Research University a hub of  IT, Medical, Engineering besides religious research works.

            Maulana Showkat Keng on this occasion said that Hazrat Sham Bibi (Chat-koor) wrote first Marsi on Sheikh-ul-Alam(RA), then Baba Dawood Khaki(RA) and Baba Naseebudin Gazi(RA) also wrote Marsibut those have not been yet translated.

            Director SKIMS, Dr. Abdul Hamid Zargar stressed the need for a qualitative man power for the University.

            Maulana Shams-ur-Rehman said that Sheikh-ul-Alam(RA)spread the teachings of Prophet Muhammad(SAW) regarding humanity and education in his shruks which need to be translated in all the languages.

            The chief guest, Prof. M.Y. Qadiri while complimenting the Carvan-e-Islami, Jammu and Kashmir for establishing Shiekh-ul-Alam (RA) Research University highlighted the teachings of Islam and importance of education. He said the modern scientific research have after a long research given the Big Bang theory which has been 1400 years ago given by the holy Quran. He said the European Scientists have read the books of Muslim Scientists and historians like Ibn-Rushd, Alberuni,  Bu-Ali-Sena etc and dedicated themselves for its research and thus marched ahead. He said Muslims have also remained best mathematicians.

            Prof. Qadiri said the Islam preached teachings of brotherhood tolerance and amity in the Arab world which gradually spread in the whole world. He urged the need for an integrated educational programme for the Sheikh-ul-Alam(RA) Research University and hoped the University will prosper and would become a seat of modern education besides research oriented religious education.

            The other scholars who spoke on the occasion include Moulvi Sajad Ahmad Ishbari, Dr. Abdul Rehman War, Bilal Ahmad Kirmani, Moulvi Sibti Mohammad Shabir, Shahid Jeelani Makhdoomi, Advocate Shaheen and  Rather.
