Tremendous flood washed away 20 houses, main bridge and a Mosque at Reshun.

CHITRAL: Tremendous flood ruined 20 houses, 1 Mosque (Masjid) and main bridge at Reshun some 55 KM from here. According to Deputy Commissioner Chitral Muhammad Shuaib Jadoon last night flood erected in Reshun flood nulla after downpour as a result 20 houses were damaged on the bank of Reshun River and a Mosque was also washed away by tremendous flood. As well as main bridge connecting Chitral to sub division Mastuj, Shandor and Gilgit was also damaged totally by flood. As a result thousands of hundred people besieged across the Bridge at sub division Mastuj and they can not meet their relative nor they can approach Chitral town in case of emergency. People of the area migrating to safe places and mostly stay with their relatives. Pipeline of drinking water also totally ruined by flood and people of the area badly suffering from non availability of potable drinking water. It is raining on the peaks of mountain and flood is still continuing at Reshun and suburb areas.
Similarly flood ruined 10 houses at Orghuch village near Chitral town including 2 Mosques and its main road. The only irrigation channel was also damaged by flash flood at Ayun valley as a result thousands of Acre land deprived from irrigation water. People of the area demanding of immediate repair of irrigation channel to save their standing crops from drying. Kalash valley also badly hit by flood and standing crops worth million of rupees damaged by flood. A 14 years Kalash girl Jamrana daughter of Jagosh Kalash also found dead suspiciously I her house. Affected people complained of not provision of relief goods and they were still not compensated by government.
Two young girls Sufia and Balqees were fell down in Jughor goal river dead body of Balqees 10 year’s daughter of Naziruddin recovered from river while Sufia is still missing. It is worth to mention here that a series of flood is continue at Chitral these days and causing for human and property losses. Experts says that it because of deforestation and brutality cutting of forest at Chitral. Two persons were also missing at Reshun village in flood water and people of the area searching them.
