Omar Abdullah President J&K National Conference said his party believe that the Kashmir issue can be resolved through a process of sustainable all inclusive dialogue which includes India, Pakistan, main stream political parties, separatists, Hurriyat Conference, United Jehad Council and all others who have a direct or indirect stake in Kashmir issue. He said the resolution of the Kashmir issue has to be acceptable to all and should meet the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Omar said the National Conference government will work for the equitable development of the state and will usher a new era of unprecedented development and growth. He said the new National Conference government will focus on the employment of the unemployed youth of the state and shall work to create new avenues of employment besides filling the existing vacant posts in the government departments. Omar said all those 70000 posts which are lying vacant in various state government departments will be filled up through fast track recruitment drive with a transparent mechanism immediately after the party comes to power. He also promised that National Conference government will provide stipend to the unemployed till they are suitably employed.Omar said among the highest priorities of the National Conference government after coming to power will be to provide for adequate delivery of quality ration and other essential commodities across the state at reasonable prices. He said the National Conference government will reduce the price of the LPG by rupees fifty and the cost of essential commodities shall also be lowered by 25-30 percent. Referring to the mis-utilization of the funds by the erstwhile PDP-Congress coalition government, Omar said they (PDP-Congress) have to answer as to where they have spent the Rs. 24000 crore package received from the Government of India for reviving the economy and providing basic amenities to the people of the state”, he said they are accountable for each and every single penny mis-utilized by them.
