Srinagar,July 11 (Scoop News) -Restoration of Peer-e-Dastgeer (RA) Shrine at Khaniyar in its original architectural design was discussed by the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah on Wednesday at a high level meeting here.
Minister for Finance, Abdul Rahim Rather, Minister for Rural Development, Ali Mohammad Sagar, Minister for Tourism, Nawang Rigzin Jora, Advisors to the Chief Minister, Mubarak Gul and Devender Singh Rana, Minister of State for Tourism, Nasir Aslam Wani, Chief Secretary, Madhav Lal, Vice Chairman, Muslim Waqaf Board, M. Y. Qadri, Head of INTACH J&K Chapter, Mohammad Saleem Beg and various senior officers and experts of INTACH were present in the meeting.
While stressing on restoration of the revered shrine in accordance with its architectural and heritage characteristic, the Chief Minister asked the Waqaf Board to move forward in this direction as quickly as possible.
It was stated in the meeting that the re-construction of the shrine will be under the supervision and consultancy of INTACH.
