A review report submits a possible Geoengineering procedure to close depleted parts of the Ozone Layer. This report sends possibilities in direction of the ozone layer for a human-induced repair.
The ozone layer is a layer of gas found in an upper part of the atmosphere called the stratosphere; it helps to shield man from Ultra Violet (UV) radiations capable of suppressing the immune system & can also cause skin cancer and cataracts with increased exposure. The ozone layer also contributes in some ways to balance the earth climate.
Geoengineering the ozone layer is an experiment that may be useful in future if studies clearly show the depth of ozone hole contribution to undesired conditions to man and the environment. Advances in today’s space science leave the stratosphere as a familiar region for certain experiment; this gives certain light to success of this Geoengineering procedure.
This procedure sends an aerostat or aerodyne to convey a liquid oxygen tank from planet earth to depleted parts of the ozone layer; the oxygen will be discharged under high pressures as gas to immediately trigger reactions in that part for recovery of lost ozone molecules hence protection from harmful UV radiations.
Studies for direction of stratospheric wind, amounts of Ozone Depleting Substances (ODSs), amounts of ozone, the season proposed recovery time falls to and the region of the earth that part is are some of the studies that will determine when and what part of the ozone layer this procedure will be used for.
This experiment may be likely within 25-40years from now depending on necessity, the procedure however can undergo diverse studies and reviews to save it for future use as necessary.
