I found the book ‘Road to Health Care’ to be easy read.
The chapters appear to have been written taking care of needs of most age-groups. The author, Dr. Seema Kumar succintly sums up the kind of life we are facing – breathing air polluted with exhaust fumes, eating processed foods, using pleasant smelling but harmful body fresheners, gulping down carbonated beverages having nearly zero nutritive value, and leading a sedentary life and when at home preferring to live in air conditioned rooms. Apart from providing us temporary relief, these activities end up giving rise to different kinds of problems and diseases and can in no be described as helpful to our wellbeing.
With preventive measures as a core subject, the book ‘Road to Health Care’ has emphasized the use of diet, yoga, exercise and herbal products to maintain good health and says that these will facilitate elimination of obnoxious effects of unhealthy living in a gradual manner. Whatever be the problem – diabetes, blood pressure, asthma, acne, obesity, stomach ailments, premature ageing or gynecological issues – this book claims to show a safe, natural and convenient means to overcome it. Most of the ingredients suggested for everyday use are readily available in most homes or in nearby general stores.
A separate section has been included to explain various problems in a woman’s life through adolescence, pregnancy, lactation, menopause and other common ailments.
Overall a very handy book every home must have!
