Kabul- A roadside bomb killed 4 US troops patrolling in southern Afghanistan, one of the deadliest attack on the coalition forces this year.
The US troops were patrolling along with the Afghan troops when their vehicle struck a roadside bomb Tuesday afternoon, the US military said in a statement.
The previous deadliest attack was in January in the Zabul province of Afghanistan that killed three US troops.
Twenty-nine American troops have died in Afghanistan this year and the attacks against the coalition forces by the Taliban insurgents are increasing.
Now the Obama administration is pouring more troops into Afghanistan, some 38, 000 American troops are operating in Afghanistan.
Last week the US President Obama announced the deployment of 17,000 more troops in Afghanistan.
In the past three years, the Taliban insurgents have increased the attacks on the coalition forces and now they occupy large areas of Afghanistan.
