On Friday midnight unknown robbers looted many offices at Marshall House. The Marshall House is located at the famous Strand Road in the heart of Calcutta.
The robbers either broke the main door’s locks or tampered with them. Police said that they raided seven offices in the seventh floor of the building and looted three offices. But according to the members of the Marshall House Owners’ Society the robbers raided & broke into at least fourteen offices.
The offices that were looted belongs to small manufacturing units, share brokers, chartered accounting firms & consultancy firms. The looted items were laptops & money amounting to more than sixty thousands Indian Rupees.
There are three staircases and four lifts connecting the seventh floor of the office. After 8 p.m the entry gates are closed and all the lifts are shut down.
According to police the robbers came inside with the help of some insiders as without the staircases and lift it is extremely difficult to reach the seventh floor of the Marshall House. And in this regard they have detained the two guards on duty.
Detetives department has been informed and the hunt for robbers has just started. Its just the beginning…………
