Robbie Williams moves to Wiltshire

EXCITEMENT is mounting in Compton Bassett, Wiltshire, as Robbie Williams is set to move to the village within the next couple of weeks.
The previous owners of 17th century Compton Bassett House moved out last weekend, and the former Take That star has been seen strolling in the grounds with his gardener.
But residents say the 34-year-old has not yet moved into the £7 million mansion.
One villager who did not want to be named said: “The owners have moved out so the house is now Robbie’s.
“He has not moved in yet and I think he will be redecorating before moving in.
“Nobody knows when he will actually move in.”
Each summer the village plays host to a crop circle festival and it is thought the singer bought the country home party because of his fascination with the phenomenon.
He will also be within easy reach of a flying saucer study group and crop circle headquarters where thousands of people meet to discuss the field patterns.
Land lady of The White Horse Inn in Compton Bassett Tara Adams said: "Robbie has a well-known interest in crop circles so that could be why he is moving to the village.
"We have not seen him yet but I have heard that he likes to support local pubs so hopefully he will come down for a pint.
A lot of the locals are used to the idea now but we are still excited to see Robbie.
"Every time the door opens I look up in case it is him".
All the locals dropping in to the pub know that they could soon be rubbing shoulders with a celebrity and there is an air of excitement in the traditional English inn.
Villager Sean Cunningham said his daughters Joleen, 25, and Stacey, 29, are both excited by the news that the former Take That star will soon be their new neighbour.
He said: "They are both in their 20s so they were fans of his when Take That were first around.
"Joleen works behind the bar in the White Horse for a couple of hours at weekends and she keeps hoping he will come in.
"I think things are going to be quite exciting here soon but it will soon wear off and people will leave him to live his life."
The singer bought the mansion from commercial property tycoon Paul Cripps, 55, and his wife Selene before Christmas and will be moving to Compton Bassett from LA, where he has lived for the past five years.
The star took advantage of the property slump and snapped up the mansion for a bargain £7million – an 18 per cent drop from its £8.5million asking price in 2007.
The property comes with a tennis court, sauna and swimming pool complex, eight bathrooms, gym, two staff flats and helicopter hangar.
