Rs. 3 crore for hospital, playfield at Jagti township: Bhalla

Jammu, April 29 (Scoop News) – Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation,  Raman Bhalla has said that Government is making all out efforts to provide all basic amenities to Kashmiri Migrants at Jagti Township so that they could enjoy their lives like other communities.

This was stated by the Minister while interacted with the Kashmiri Migrants after laying foundation of Kheer Bhawani Temple at Jagti Township, here today.

 Bhalla said that government has sanctioned Rs.3 crore for construction of hospital, playfield, cremation ground and old age home on the proposed site in the Jagti township. He said under the Prime Minister’s Package, the government has constructed 4218 flats at an estimate cost of Rs.385 crore which were already allotted to the migrants.

Regarding enhancement of monthly relief, the Minister said that government has submitted a proposal to the centre government for approval adding that after getting approval, the relief of Kashmiri Migrants would be enhanced.

On the occasion Swami Sh. Kumar Ji Maharaj of Kral Baab Ashram Gaddi, Relief Commissioner  R. K. Pandita, Executive Engineers  R K Koul,  Bajaj, social activist  Kundan Kashmiri along with Camp Commandant of Jagti township  T.K Bhatt were present on the occasion.

A large number of inmates of Jagti township and associate area participated in programme where naveed was provided among the devotees. Holy chants and bhajan-kirtan enthralled the atmosphere and the function was celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety. The temple at the proposed site shall be constructed in the pattern of Mata Kheer Bhawani Temple, Tulmulla Kashmir. The construction will be made by the donations of the civil society and support of religious organisations.
