Jammu, March 14 (Scoop News) – Minister for Health, Sham Lal Sharma today informed the House that Rs.5.36 crore have been released to Kargil district for implementation of various activities under NRHM from 2006 to ending January 2011.
The Minister was replying to a question by Aga Syed Ahmed Rizvi in Legislative Council.
He said in addition to above Rs. 6.80 crore have also been released in favour of Director Health Services Kashmir for infrastructure development in Health Institutions in district Kargil including the procurement of equipment /machinery on need basis.
Sham Lal said that the projects taken include CHC, Sankoo, CHC Padam, CHC Drass, CHC Chitkan and Construction of Trauma Unit in DH Kargil and up-gradation of PHCs and construction of sub centres.
129 posts sanctioned for DH Kishtwar: Sham
Minister for Health Sham Lal Sharma today informed the House that 129 posts are sanctioned for district hospital Kishtwar which includes 39 gazetted 58 non-gazetted and 32 Class-IV.
The Minister was replying to a question by Syed Asgar Ali in the Legislative Council.
He said out of 129 posts, 59 posts are filled up and 70 posts are lying vacant. He further said that the vacant posts of B-Grade Specialists have been referred to PSC for selection and as soon as the select list is received from the concerned selection agencies, these posts would be filled up.
Referring to installation of the CT scan in the District Hospital, the Minister said the order for procurement of the equipment has been placed and it will be installed as soon as received.

Heating system of Qazigund hospital to be made functional: Sham
Minister for Health, Sham Lal Sharma today informed the house that already installed central heating system of emergency hospital Qazigund would be made functional soon.
The Minister was replying to a question by Mohammad Amin Bhat in the Legislative Council.
He said the proposal for augmenting the hospital with ambulatory services is under active consideration of the department and added that the equipments and other facilities of the hospital are being augmenting in a phased manner subject to availability of funds.
