"From this day on I will no longer be part of ‘Paparazzi’. I will never tolerate DISRESPECT in any form done to me, to my children or to my beloved viewers" Ruffa Guiterrez announced on her Twitter account.
Actress and former beauty queen Ruffa Guiterrez is a co-host of Paparazzi, a weekend entertainment talk show of TV 5. The June 23rd episode of Paparazzi was supposedly dedicated to Guiterrez who will be celebrating her 38th birthday this June 24.
Ruffa did not mention the exact reason for her outburst but many viewers believe it was caused by a segment in the show where a co-host would whisper a personal question to one of the celebrity guests or co-hosts, in which they are expected to answer the question loudly on live television. In this case, Ruffa was asked sexual and offending questions regarding her celebrity ex boyfriends.
"Hindi niyo man lang naisip na nanonood ang mga anak ko!" (You didn’t even realize that my children were watching!) Ruffa further vented on her Twitter. "The head of PROGRESS Gold Milk of Wyeth was at the studio, my friends were watching!"
Ruffa’s mother, famous talent manager Annabelle Rama was equally as scandalized and berated the show and called its writers idiots in her Twitter account as well.
TV 5 has not yet released a statement regarding this issue, but whatever it may be, Ruffa is certain with her decision on quitting the show, saying that God will always give her an opportunity elsewhere.
