Villagers in thousands join hands with Master (Retd.) Fazal Alam
Independent candidate from Bhaderwah constituency, Master (Retd.) Fazal Alam Wani today addressed first political rally at Chiralla which was organized by a large number of political workers of different political parties who have resolved to support Master Fazal as an independent candidate in the 2008 Assembly elections. Today’s rally was not only a mammoth one but first of its kind in the history of rallies held in the entire road less and unconnected Chiralla belt in which about three thousand political workers participated along with their leaders.
The main highlights of the today’s rally were joining hand with independent candidate by several prominent and ground workers from different political parties. Prominent among those who joined hands with Master Fazal along with their hundreds of supporters and ground workers were Mushtaq Hessian most dedicated and influential worker of National Conference (NC) along with about 200 supporters, Khalil Ahmed Youth NC leader, Majeed Butt, Maulana Nasir Ahmed Gani and Tariq Hussian Sheikh (all NC local leaders).
From Congress Abdul Azid Butt, Mohammed Rafiq Sheikh Joura, Masood Ahmed Kahan, Akhter Hussain (Joura), Mohammed Saiban, Pream Raj, Daljeet Singh, Blinder Singh, Kewal Krishan, Ravinder Singh (Padraa-Nai), Bhusian Kumar (Jushala), Mehraj-ud-Din Sunarthawa, Mukhtiar Ahmed Bajja etc with hundreds of their supporters joined Master Fazal.
Giving a major set back to PDP in Chiralla belt and its adjoining rural areas, Abdul Feteh (Retd Girdiwar) along with several PDP workers and prominent leaders including Shamish Din Lone, (Retd. Havildar), Payer Singh (Retd Teacher), Mulraj (Retd Havildar), Ram Natha (Retd Havildar) and Mohamad Ali Lone PDP President Chiralla Block joined Master Fazal Alam Wani.
Along with about 119 BJP workers, Padarath Chand, Ashok Manhas (dedicated worker) and Dr. Ashok Kumar, BJP President Block Chiralla, Anar Singh (Retd Captain), Gen. Secretary BJP Wing Chiralla, Ravinder Singh, Kiker Chand, Ved Prakash, Sher Singh and Jaswant Singh Vice President BJP Wing Chiralla joined Master Fazal.
Another political figure and an active social worker, Farooq Ahmed Wani who remained associated with ex-MP, Sheikh Abdul Rehman for several years in the past when he was in BSP and Ex-Naib Sarpench Babu Ram also joined Master Fazal.
Prominent Gujjar leaders including Kallu Gujjar, Aaish Ali and Chudhary Mohammed Hussain Member Gujjar Advisory Board Bhaderwah along with about 250 Gujjar political workers form Kunthal, Gharru and Khatassu joined hands with Master Fazal and pledged to work hard to ensure Master Fazal’s victory in the Assembly elections.
Speaking on the occasion, Master Fazal thanked all the rural people for having faith in him and assured to work for the upliftment of rural areas which have remained neglected for the last several years.
Master Fazal lamented the lack of basic facilities in the rural areas of entire Bhaderwah constituency and regretted that for last 60 years villagers remained neglected and ignored by all the political leaders.
Criticizing the political leaderships for ignoring 70 percent of people living rural areas Master Fazal mentioned that the time has changed now and the rural people have decided to have their own representative from rural area who can better understand their problems.
He further alleged that some politicians, who are also in poll fray, are trying to create hurdles in his way by getting his supporters tortured with the help of security forces.
He cited an example that some villagers from Joura areas called on him allaging that some security personnel tortured them. However, Master Fazal assured them and took the matter with the higher authorities of the security forces who have assured Master Fazal that non one will be harassed unnecessarily.
In the end Master Fazal assured that he will work dedicatedly to uplift the rural people.
Others who addressed the rally were Dr. Ashok Kumar, Mushtaq Hussain, Farooq Ahmed Wani, Anar Singh (Retd. Caption) and many other leaders.
