Entrepreneur Johnny Taylor revealed his Web site and black-specific search engine Rushmoredrive.com in April of this year and it has already proved to be a successful endeavor.
Rushmoredrive.com offers a Web search, job search, news and more that is tailored specifically to the black community. The site gives users the most important results from google.com and other popular search engines but includes information that is relevant and personalized to black users.
Johnny Taylor, the CEO of Rushmoredrive.com explains how the site optimizes search results for the black community, "Sure, anyone can deliver 60 million search results, but we know that people abandon searches after page one, two or three. You need to elevate the black results to the first several pages so that we have a more relevant search."
