RUSI Reveals that Uncontrolled Climate Change Worse than World Wars

"In the next decades, climate change will drive as significant a change in the strategic security environment as the end of the Cold War…If uncontrolled, climate change will have security implications of similar magnitude to the World Wars, but which will last for centuries."

Thus spoke Nick Mabey of Great Britain’s oldest think-tank,the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI), in yet another gloom and doom scenario meant to frighten us all into submitting to the cold, hard reality of AGW, which is now being called "climate change" by everyone that believes in it, as I previously wrote about.

Naturally, the call is being put out by RUSI for a gargantuan increase in government financial intervention into stopping the pending toasting of nearly the entire globe. Translation: RUSI is saying that the people of Great Britain–and, by extension, all people everywhere–need to get taxed a helluva lot more, and right away.

All this shouting and clamoring for more of your money, for the ripping away of more of your liberty, is taking place even as the United Nation’s IPCC is tacitly admitting that it had previously got a whole lot wrong about climate change (heretofore called AGW, or "anthropocentric global warming", or global warming caused directly by the industrial activities of the civilized human world).

The long-since proven-fraudulent "Hockey Stick" graph (which, it is now known for a fact, was arrived at by the behind-the-scenes manipulation of statistics) of 2001 was the original cause de la terreur concerning climate change. It showed a dramatic warming trend across the previous century and the known historical climatic periods known as the Medieval Warming Period and the Little Ice Age (during which the American Revolutionary War was fought) basically vanished.

The IPCC has published a new chart that was compiled in 2007–and it clearly separates out the Northern Hemisphere and (gasp!) prominently features the aforementioned historical climatic "anomalies". In short, the situation is not nearly as cut and dry as the fallacious "consensus" would have one believe.

Of course, one of the bromides of the far Left, the Socialist down shakers, and the idiotic sheeple at RUSI is that one of the most important things that we need to do to seriously curb the emission of greenhouse gasses (particularly laughable when one realizes that the Earth’s atmosphere does not act like a greenhouse at all, but in fact acts like something ubiquitous in modern culture that was invented based squarely upon a model of the Earth’s atmosphere: the thermos) is to begin cultivating and relying heavily on biofuels.

"[A]recent study from the World Bank of all places [s]howed that every extra grain of corn that has been harvested in [the U.S.], planted and harvested in this country, the additional grain since 2005 has gone not to feed people but into our gas tanks. The World Bank also said that 50% of the fuel price–of the food price riots around the world has been due to biofuels policies. Those are staggering numbers. This is having a real effect on food, especially for the poorest of the world," stated Iain Murray in a very recently published interview.
