Russia completed it’s delivery of fuel rod for Kundankulam atomic power plant of India..This plant is in final stage of construction.It is situated in Tamilnadu province of India.
This fuel rod is consisting of 4.1 percent of Uranium 235.Russia delivered it strictly under IAEA guidelines and contractual obligations,source Russian nuclear energy industry Atomeneroprom’s website.
Along with this Russia also supplied two vver-1000 nuclear units with a total capacity of 2000 MW.
Russia’s Atomstroiexport already send 83 percent equipment for the project.This projecting running two years behind its schedule.The reason behind this is reoragnisation of national nuclear industry and corporatisation.
