S.R.V.E.S N.G.O , Urges JKGOVT to Declare assets of information commissioners, Government Gazzeted O

  Srinagar 18th september 2012, Social Royal Voluntary Environmental

Service (SRVES) a socio environmental faction of jammu and kashmir

have urged the state goverment to update the GAD web site and state

information commission’s website ( http://jksic.nic.in/index.html )

with the Declaration of Assets of all Information commissioner’s

namely Mr. G R Sufi IRS State Chief Information Commissioner,Dr. S .K.

Sharma State Information Commissioner, Mr. Nazir Ahmed State

Information Commissioner, Government Gazzeted  employees and all the

Minister’s of the state  so that the transparency regarding holding of

assets would be depicted through electronic means. In the meeting held

at SRVES office complex the C.E.O SRVES Er. M.M.Idrees Ul Haq beigh

who is also an RTI activist said " It is evident from the Central

information commission’s website that the assets are to be declared

(assets of the concerned Information commissioner’s ) on the Goverment

portal as they have declared it on their respective website (

http://cic.gov.in/ ), and as government of jammu and kashmir always

uses the transparency methodology  I believe that  they will update

their government portal on the same shape."

The member’s of SRVES NGO also urged the government to increase the

awareness about the RTI act in the general public " RTI act is an

instrument which should be used by general public for the betterment

of the state whether on Fiscal front or on educational front or on

other fronts, It is the need of hour that general public should be

known to this law " C.E.O SRVES added.
