He was expected to become an ACP. He had won more than 100 police awards. He had received 7 gallantry awards. He was responsible for killing more than 34 terrorists and arresting around 100. “He wanted to quit his job and educate his sons to provide them a better future” said a friend close to Sharma. His son was down with dengue in a hospital in Dwarka. But when duty called he arrived directly at the location (L-18 Jamiya Nagar, New Delhi) where the terrorists were hiding and that too without wearing a ny bullet-proof jacket.
INSPECTOR MOHAN CHAND SHARMA became more respectable and honorable than any Prime Minister or politician today when he sacrificed his life for his Motherland India. Sharma was shot in the stomach after which he was taken to the Holy Family Hospital. He killed 2 terrorists and arrested 1( suspected to be the prime accuse of Delhi serial blasts) during an encounter with the terrorists hidden in a flat in Jamiya Nagar near Okhla.
Do we still need another MC Sharma to give his life or are we awakened at last?
This question is not for any XYZ politician, party, region, language, religion or caste. This is a Question I want to ask of true indians today as I salute this Hero.
