Samajwadi Party to provide support to the United Progressive Alliance government

With the Left Parties consisting of four parties – CPM, CPI, RSP and Forward Bloc withdrawing support to the United Progressive Alliance ( UPA ) government over the Indo – US nuclear deal, the Samajwadi Party has decided to provide support to the UPA government.

Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav has said that they  will give unconditional support to the UPA government. Samajwadi Party supports the Indo – US nuclear deal. They are also going to hold rallies and educate people of the country over the benifits of the Indo – US nuclear deal.

Samajwadi Party has also vowed to save the government from collapsing. They are supporting the government after former President of India- " APJ Abdul Kalam " said that the nuclear deal is very beneficial for the country.

They are now booking an appointment with the president of India – " Pratibha Patil " to submit their letter of support to the United Progressive Alliance government.
