As preparation for the coming African Nations Cup gathers momentum, phone manufacturer Samsung has pledged to take about 300 Nigerians to watch the tournament billed to hold in Ghana.
Disclosing this at a media parley in Lagos was the Sales Director of the outfit, Vicas Kumar. According to him, Samsung, which is also one of the official sponsors of the tournament, would be embarking on consumer marketing promotion that will enable Nigerians watch matches in Ghana during the tournament in order to support the senior national team, the Super Eagles.
Kumar, who stood in for the company’s Managing Director James You, further expressed joy in associating with Nigeria representatives at the bi-annual competition.
"We are proud to be associated with Nigerian representatives, the Super Eagles, in the Nations Cup tournament and are ready to do everything within our power to ensure the Super Eagles return victorious," he said.
The promo aimed at engendering support for the team will commence in December to last throughout the duration of the competition.
To help Nigerians be part of the event, over 10 viewing centres would be set up in Lagos while other states like Aba in Abia, Onitsha in Anambra, Abuja, Kaduna, Kano will have viewing centres also set up to enable live viewing.
He also announced a raffle draw, urging all its customers to insist on getting theirs for every purchase made to enable them take part in the draw.
