Former ‘pitbull with lipstick’ Sarah Palin has joined the LinkedIn professional- networking web site, on which she is apparently interested in ‘job inquiries.’
Linkedin bills itself as a professional social networking site, with "connections" instead of friends which are intended to help users make business contacts, and find jobs. The former Alaska Governor has apparently taken it upon herself to go job-hunting using the site.
She boasts 500-plus "connection" on her LinkedIn profile already. Among her specialty skills are: "attacking ‘business as usual’ Oil Companies, Good Old Boy Networks, Government waste, Earmarks, and Pork Barrels." So far, five people have recommended Palin.
The former Alaska governor is no stranger to social networking. Palin is also a veteran Facebook user, posting numeous comments on that site that continue to fuel suggestions that she will enter the 2012 presidential race. Pailn boasts over 929,000 Facebook "friends" and just over 500 connections on Linkedin. Politico has a theory that Palin’s use of the social networking sites might have something to do with her current resources:
To some degree, Palin’s strategy may be driven by necessity. The former governor has operated with a skeleton crew since leaving the governor’s office, with a team consisting of only a handful of staffers employed by her political action committee located in Virginia.
Palin’s memoir is set for release on Nov. 17. Through pre-orders, it has already
to the top spot on the Barnes & Nobles website.
