A video from 2005 showing VP Candidate Sarah Palin at her Wasilla, Alaska Assembly of God Church has surfaced on YouTube. This time, Palin is being blessed by Kenyan Pastor Thomas Muthee who has been noted for his controversial statements about witchcraft. The video is at the bottom of this article
In the video, Thomas Muthee delivers a sermon at Wasilla’s Assembly of God Church talking about how government needs people of Christian faith in powerful political office. He mentions Sarah Palin by name and encourages people to not only pray for her, but to go vote for her on election day.
Thomas Muthee talks about how followers of Christianity are needed in schools so that children are not taught, as he says, "how to worship Buddha, how to worship Mohammed… We will not have in their curriculum of witchcraft and sorcery."
At around the 3:40 mark, Muthee invites Sarah Palin up to the stage for a group prayer in the Governor’s favor. Muthee and two other pastors place their hands on Palin who offers herself with palms up and eyes closed. During the prayer, Muthee says "Bring finances her way, in the name of Jesus. Every form of witchcraft, it will be rebuked in the name of Jesus."
Does this mean that Sarah Palin thinks Buddhism and Islam should be "rebuked in the name of Jesus." Not necessarily, but this is the second disturbing Sarah Palin video to come out of Assembly of God Church. Click here for the first one.
