Saudi Arabia, the chief sponsor of terrorism in the world has reportedly offered to supply elements of the Free Syrian Army with anti-aircraft missiles.
Russian-made antitank guided missiles and Chinese man-portable air-defense systems are already sitting in warehouses in Jordan and Turkey awaiting distribution to factions of the FSA including those affiliated with al-Qaeda and other terrorist organizations.
An Arab diplomat and several opposition figures with knowledge of the Saudi efforts have told Wall Street Journal that these supplies are likely to tip the scales in favor of regime change in Syria.
“New stuff is arriving imminently,” a Western diplomat with knowledge of the planned weapons deliveries , according to the WSJ (source: Saudi argee to provide Syrian rebels with anti aircraft weaponshttp://online.wsj.com/news/articles/SB10001424052702304703804579382974196840680?mg=reno64-wsj&url=http%3A%2F%2Fonline.wsj.com%2Farticle%2FSB10001424052702304703804579382974196840680.html).
The move is a serious escalation of the war on the ground in Syria designed specifically to undermine the current government which is in a desperate fight with terrorists on the ground.
The article mentions that the United States for its part has “stepped up financial support”, handing over millions of U.S. taxpayer dollars in new “aid” to pay fighters’ salaries, according to one terrorist commanders who already have received some of the money.
The U.S. wouldn’t comment on any payments and refused to discuss details of how it is helping to effectively undermine current peace talks in Syria.
