School going Children remained from school due to damaging of Bridge

Mastuj area in great thread of Flood. One bridge damaged land erosion people post migrating to safe places.

CHITRAL:  Sub Division Mastuj is in great thread of flood as water surface is high in Yarkhun River. A pedestal (suspension) bride at Yarkhun village connecting Ghoro to Chinar village was damaged by heavy flood. As well as dozens of cattle have been besieged in the middle of River as water flowing from both sides and so many goats were died by flood in Chinar village by heavy flood. The flood also erosion the area and has damaged cultivable land and standing crops were also ruined. Residents of the area are migrating to safe place to save their lives. Besides it water/power channel of a local power house at Tooq village (Hazratabad) was also damaged by flood as a result he hydro power station not working and supply of electricity has been suspended for the last two days in the whole area.  The local hydro station has been completed by local people with financial support of AKRSP.

Affected people of flood cutting their trunks and crops prematurely and packing their home appliances while some people who living on the bank of river are demolishing their houses to shift infrastructure and wood to other places as to save them from flood. Thousands of people are suffering badly due to damaging of pedestal bridge at river while school going children are also remained from their schools due to no way. So many houses were partly damaged flood while cultivable land was ruined by erosion. The affected people also complained that no public representative or local authority not visited the area. Only one tent was provided by Focus which is not sufficient but nothing from government side Miss Shakira Naz cluster captain of focus told while talking to local journalists. She appeal to Federal as well as Provincial government to compensate the affected people and construct protection bund in the river towards village to save it from more erosion. The heavy flood not only damaged land and houses but also ruined irrigation channel and drinking water supply pipeline and telephone cable.
