Nepal’s school leaving examination commences from Wednesday. The Controller of Examinations states that 3,64,591 regular students have registered for the school leaving Certificate examination, also popularly known as SLC.
Amidst controversial reports that many guardians and teachers fight with police while handing over cheats to their students during the examination, the National Human Rights Commission has expressed its concern over the security and examination atmosphere of examinees.
Educationists often complain that Nepal still sticks to memory-based learning instead of creative and analytical systems of education.
